As the weather warmed up after a week of rain and low temperatures, the spring market at Abandon Brewery came alive with energy and excitement. This event, held the day before Mother’s Day, offered a perfect mix of craft vendors, family-friendly activities, and, of course, excellent beer and seltzers. It was a day full of fun, community spirit, and great outdoor vibes.

A Perfect Setting for a Spring Market

Abandon Brewery’s atmosphere is one of its strongest draws. The brewery’s open space and welcoming vibe make it an ideal spot for events like this. On this particular day, the weather cooperated just enough to bring people out after a gloomy week. The fresh air and sunshine encouraged visitors to linger, explore, and enjoy the offerings.

The brewery brought in a flower ba. Many attendees, including myself, took advantage of the chance to pick up something for the women in our lives. I grabbed two dozen Flowers to give to my mom, who was returning home from a trip that night. It was a thoughtful gift from me and my sister Elizabeth, and it felt great to share something local and fresh.

Craft Vendors and Unique Finds

The market featured a range of craft vendors showcasing their handmade goods. From artisanal foods to unique crafts, there was something for everyone. One standout was the on-site t-shirt vendor who allowed customers to customize shirts with any of the brewery’s logos or sayings. This added a personal touch and gave visitors a fun souvenir to take home.

These vendors brought a local flavor to the event, supporting small businesses and offering products you won’t find in big stores. It’s a great way to discover new favorites and support the community at the same time.

Activities for Kids and Families

Families were well-catered for at the market. An obstacle course was set up for kids to enjoy, providing a safe and fun space for them to play while parents browsed the vendors or relaxed with a drink. This made the event accessible and enjoyable for visitors of all ages.

Adding to the entertainment, a magician performed right before the band, captivating both children and adults with tricks and illusions. Live music also filled the air during this time, creating a lively and festive atmosphere that kept spirits high throughout the afternoon.

Great Beer and Seltzers to Enjoy

Abandon Brewery is known for its quality beers, and this event was no exception. The selection was impressive, with something to suit every taste. Whether you prefer a hoppy IPA, a smooth lager, or a refreshing seltzer, the brewery had you covered.

Sampling these drinks while enjoying the market’s other offerings made for a well-rounded experience. The brewery’s commitment to quality shines through in every sip, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.

A Day of Community and Connection

Beyond the products and entertainment, the spring market at Abandon Brewery was about connecting with others. I even took part in some old-school door-to-door style marketing by handing out brochures for Gel Blast FLX, which added a personal touch to the day.

Events like this bring people together, creating a sense of community and shared enjoyment. It’s a reminder of the simple pleasures found in good company, good food, and good drink.
